At the invitation of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Emomali Rahmon arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit on March 26. The head of state personally met the distinguished guest at the Tashkent-Humo International Airport.
This visit of the leader of Tajikistan is considered an important political event in relations between the two countries. The official welcoming ceremony was organized at a high level: the flags of the two countries were raised high, the guard of honor was lined up, and an expression of interstate respect was demonstrated.
It was reported that within the framework of the visit, comprehensive negotiations between the leaders of the two countries will be held today. It is also noteworthy that a meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council is planned for the first time.
Issues of political cooperation, trade and economic ties, transport and communication networks, cultural and humanitarian ties, and interregional interaction are expected to be discussed in detail at the high-level meetings. Defining practical steps in these areas can open new opportunities for both countries.
According to experts, this visit will not only strengthen existing ties, but will also serve to bring the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to a higher level. This is expected to serve as an important factor in economic growth, increasing trade volumes, and ensuring regional stability in the future.
