Uzbekistan and Serbia expanded tourism ties

Uzbekistan has officially approved an international agreement with Serbia aimed at supporting tourism and expanding cooperation in the sector. The document was signed in Tashkent on October 28, 2025, and has now been given legal force for implementation under presidential resolution No. PQ-115.

The Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan has been named the responsible authority for carrying out the agreement. It will coordinate joint activities, oversee tourism projects, and help ensure that both sides make full use of the opportunities created by the new partnership.

Under the decision, the Cabinet of Ministers and the heads of relevant ministries and agencies will monitor how the agreement is fulfilled after it enters into force. The deal is expected to open the way for closer exchange of experience, new investment initiatives, and broader cultural links between the two countries.

Officials expect the agreement to strengthen long-term cooperation in tourism and create more options for travelers in the coming years as Uzbekistan and Serbia deepen their partnership.
