In which sectors do Uzbeks work the most?

What does Uzbekistan's labor market look like and where do our compatriots primarily earn their living? Updated data from the Statistics Agency has revealed which sectors of the country's economy provide the most jobs. Zamin.uz has analyzed these interesting figures and selected the most important ones for you.
The Leading Three: Agriculture Still in the Lead
In our country, agriculture, forestry and fisheries hold absolute leadership in employment. 3 million 132,600 of our fellow citizens work in this sector.
The services sector takes second place. 2 million 661,800 people are employed in various service activities, while manufacturing industry with 1 million 699,600 workers completes the strong top three.
Infrastructure and Social Sphere: Education and Construction Rapidly Catching Up
In trade and construction, considered the pillars of the economy, millions of people have also found their place:
Trade and repair: 1 million 507,900 people;
Construction sector: 1 million 450,500 people;
Education: 1 million 367,600 people.
Also, the number of medical and social service workers serving public health amounts to 719,400 people.
Governance, Transport and Modern Sectors
While 637,000 people work in the state administration and defense system, 584,600 people are employed in transport and warehousing. Figures in other sectors are as follows:
Catering and hotel services: 389,500;
Science and technical activities: 152,600;
Administrative and support services: 114,200.
High technologies and "fine" points of industry
Interestingly, although employment in information technology (IT) and financial services is relatively low, these sectors have the highest efficiency:
IT and communications: 108,800;
Finance and insurance: 82,900;
Energy: 70,700;
Real estate market: 67,800.
The final part of the list includes arts and leisure (66,900), mining industry (66,700), as well as water supply and waste management (52,800).
