A White Paper published by the State Council Information Office of China has suggested that the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus may have appeared in the United States before the first cases in Wuhan, China. The Daily Mail reported this.
The document states that “significant evidence suggests that COVID-19 may have appeared in the United States before the date of its official announcement and spread in China.” The White Paper focuses on the US state of Florida, where the first case of the disease was officially detected on March 1, 2020. However, according to information from open sources, the coronavirus began to spread in the state as early as January. At the same time, most of the patients did not travel outside the country.
It was clarified that the American side later deleted this information and fired the employees responsible for processing the information.
Earlier, the administration of US President Donald Trump launched a special page on the White House website dedicated to the origin of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. It replaced the page maintained during the Joe Biden era.
The page stated that the virus has biological properties that are not found in nature. The White House has blamed a leak of the virus from a laboratory in Wuhan, China, for the pandemic that has killed more than a million Americans.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning has said that COVID-19 may have leaked from a Chinese laboratory, calling for an end to the smear campaign against China and the politicization of the origin of the coronavirus.
In December 2019, the Chinese government notified the World Health Organization (WHO) of an outbreak of pneumonia in Wuhan. In March 2020, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus declared COVID-19 a pandemic due to the rapid spread of the virus.
According to the latest data, more than 7 million people have died from the coronavirus. In January 2025, the Central Intelligence Agency published a report on the origin of the virus in a laboratory. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
