Drunk man breaks 200-year-old imperial throne in Vietnam
A historical and cultural treasure, the 200-year-old imperial throne, was damaged in Vietnam. According to CNN, a drunken man accidentally damaged this valuable artifact, which belongs to the last dynasty of Vietnamese emperors. The throne, recognized as a national treasure of Vietnam, has led to heightened security measures.

The damaged throne was located in the Thai Hoa Palace in Hue. This palace served as the official residence of the last Vietnamese emperors, and important ceremonies were held here. During the reign of the Nguyen dynasty from 1802 to 1945, Hue was the capital. Therefore, the monuments and historical objects in the area are considered national heritage and are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The offender entered the closed area of the palace on May 24 in the afternoon, sat on the throne, and began shouting incomprehensibly. As a result, the ancient artifact was damaged. According to the Vietnamese government, security measures in the area of the national heritage complex are now being strengthened, with particular focus on protecting artifacts and national treasures.

The damage to national wealth has increased attention to the protection of cultural and historical objects in Vietnam. New mechanisms are being developed to protect artifacts and cultural heritage, as well as to enhance control over temporarily transferred individuals.

This incident may lead to the need for special research on the value of historical and cultural treasures in Vietnam and worldwide. The damage to the throne highlights the need to improve laws on the protection of monuments.
