Trump's announced ceasefire rejected: the Iran–Israel conflict remains unresolved
Reports about new steps to reduce tensions in the Middle East have sparked great interest among the public. According to US President Donald Trump, an agreement was reached between Israel and Iran on a “12-hour full ceasefire.” He also noted that this ceasefire was expected to end the war. However, reality turned out differently.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi officially denied this information and stated that there was no agreement or negotiations on this matter. In his statement, Araqchi emphasized: “The Israeli regime started the war against Iran, not the other way around,” and said that a decision to stop military actions might be made later. At the same time, the Iranian side clearly stated that it is ready to respond to any illegal aggression from Israel.

Currently, the Iranian Foreign Minister is on an official visit to Moscow and held a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Thus, Tehran continues to act actively on the diplomatic front as well.

Notably, on June 23, it became known that Iran had launched an operation against US military bases in Qatar. The US base in Iraq was also attacked. Qatar sharply condemned the strikes on its base and declared that the country is fully entitled to respond. Saudi Arabia also supported this statement. As a result, several Middle Eastern countries were forced to strengthen security measures and close their airspace.

Donald Trump made an official statement about the ceasefire, expressing gratitude to Israel and Iran for their patience and courage in the “12-day war.” However, on June 24, events took a different turn: Iran again emphasized that no agreement or cessation of military actions had been reached and struck the Israeli city of Beersheba with ballistic missiles.

This situation once again shows that the conflict in the Middle East is becoming more acute, and diplomatic negotiations are proceeding under complex conditions. The international community continues to expect clear and constructive steps from both sides to ensure peace and stability in this region.
