Airstrike in Central Gaza: Israeli Army Admits “Technical Error”
An airstrike targeting civilians queuing for water in the central part of the Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of 10 people. Among the victims are reported to be six children. According to local hospitals, 16 people, including seven children, were injured.

Witnesses say a missile was fired from a drone at people standing in line at a water distribution point in the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp. Footage from the scene shows casualties among both children and adults. This was reported by the BBC.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) acknowledged the attack and stated that while targeting an Islamic Jihad militant, the missile landed several meters off target. The military described the incident as a “technical error” and announced an investigation is underway. In its statement, the IDF expressed regret over harm to civilians and emphasized efforts to prevent such incidents.

The attack occurred near a school and kindergarten in Nuseirat, raising serious concern in the international community.

The incident took place on Sunday, when at least 19 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes in other parts of Gaza. Reports suggest homes in central Gaza and Gaza City were targeted.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) reported that a field hospital in Rafah has received more than 3,400 weapon-related injuries in the past six weeks. Of those, 250 people have died. Recently, many of the wounded brought to the hospital were injured near food distribution points.

On Saturday, Nasser Hospital reported the deaths of 24 people near a food distribution area. Witnesses claim Israeli soldiers opened fire on the crowd. However, the Israeli side denies the accusations, saying only warning shots were fired.
