A 13-year-old boy died as a result of a shark attack on a coastal area in Olinda, Brazil.
This was reported by the news agency Agência Brasil.
According to reports, the teenager was attacked by a shark while swimming with friends in the sea. The predator bit the back of his right thigh. Due to severe injuries and heavy blood loss, the child was taken to the hospital without signs of life.
It is noted that this area is known as a place where shark attacks are frequently recorded. This situation has brought the death toll from shark attacks in Pernambuco state to 27.
Earlier, beaches north of Sydney, Australia, were also temporarily closed due to the high risk of shark attacks.
