UN demands investigation into school attack in Iran

The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights called for an impartial investigation into the attack on a school in Iran. According to the press secretary of the High Commissioner, Ravina Shamdasani, those who carried out the attack are responsible for conducting an investigation and publishing its results to the public. It was also emphasized that the perpetrators should be punished and compensation should be paid to the victims.
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights expressed concern that the US and Israel's military actions against Iran could impact civilian infrastructure and civilians. In this regard, the need to strictly comply with the requirements of international humanitarian law was noted.
It was reported that the "Shajarayi Toyyiba" school in Minob district was bombed during a class on February 28. It is reported that many students and teachers died as a result of the attack, and the school building was severely damaged.
Iranian state media reported that many children died as a result of the incident. UNESCO condemned this event as a gross violation of international humanitarian law. The US Secretary of Defense emphasized that the American army will not strike civilian targets and stated that an investigation into the incident is underway.
