The Donald Trump administration is considering reformatting relations with Moscow. This was reported by Politico. According to the publication, the White House believes that urging Russia to end the war in Ukraine and return it to economic cooperation with the West could change the balance of power globally and weaken Beijing's influence.
In particular, the idea of economic incentives and investments, which could bring Moscow closer to Washington, is being discussed.
However, Ukraine is skeptical of such a strategy. Sources note that similar attempts have been made and failed before, while the alliance between Russia and China remains stable.
Experts also doubt the success of this approach: in their opinion, the most anticipated thing is not a break between Moscow and Beijing, but limited cooperation.
