The tomb of D'Artagnan, the hero of The Three Musketeers, is supposed to have been found

It was reported that remains that may have belonged to the famous French musketeer d'Artagnan were discovered in the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in the Dutch city of Maastricht.
According to reports, a human skeleton was discovered during excavations resulting from the subsidence of the church floor. The discovery of a French coin along with the remains suggests that the buried person may have held a high position.
Historical sources note the possibility that d'Artagnan perished during the siege of Maastricht in 1673 and was buried in the same area. Scientists are currently testing DNA samples from the discovered jaw bones under laboratory conditions.
Researchers do not rule out the possibility that these remains belong to d'Artagnan, though a final conclusion is expected to be announced following the results of the genetic analysis.
