New convenience for those who have lost their driver's license

A big innovation for drivers has been introduced in Uzbekistan. Now, in case of loss of a driver's license, it is not required to visit the buildings of the Road Safety Service. All processes will be carried out online through the unified portal of public services - my.gov.uz. This is an important step in saving citizens' time and money.

Users can submit an application through a special section in the "Formation of a Driver's License" service. In particular, it is enough to select the "Restore Lost Driver's License" section and enter the information electronically.

The official fee for the service is set at 370,800 soums (0.9 BRV). If a citizen wishes to deliver the renewed certificate home through the postal service, an additional payment of 25,000 soums is required. Thus, excessive queues and the process of transferring documents will be significantly reduced.

The updated certificate will be ready in just 1 business day. If delivery is ordered through the postal service, then the document will reach the owner within 3 working days. This once again confirms that the process of digitalization of public services in our country is developing at a high pace.

However, if the data does not match in the system or the person is deprived of the right to drive a vehicle, the application may be rejected. Also, if a case has been initiated under Articles 131 and 136 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, and there are certain legal restrictions, the citizen will not be able to use the service.

Experts note that this new opportunity will significantly simplify the daily lives of drivers. Previously, to restore a driver's license, it was necessary to go to special agencies, obtain various certificates, and face a lot of paperwork. Now the entire process can be carried out without leaving the house.

Many users on social networks also positively assess this news. According to them, such digital services not only ensure transparency, but also save people's time and nerves.

Recall that in recent years, a number of reforms have been carried out to transfer public services to electronic format. In particular, significant work is being done to transition processes related to transport and driver's licenses to an online format.
