Installing a gas cylinder in a car no longer requires updating the technical passport!

From November 1, 2025, the requirement to renew or replace a "techpassport" after installing a gas cylinder in cars will be canceled. This was officially reported by the Road Safety Service. This innovation is being implemented in accordance with Presidential Decree No. PP-286 of September 16, 2025, "On Measures to Further Accelerate the Implementation of Digital Technologies in Regions, Sectors, and Industries of the Republic." According to the decree, starting November 1st, information about the installation of a gas cylinder will be recorded electronically during vehicle registration.

Previously, every time a gas cylinder was installed, the car owner had to contact the relevant authority to update their technical passport. Now, this process will be fully digitized, and there will be no need to renew a new vehicle registration certificate. These changes are being implemented within the framework of large-scale reforms aimed at introducing digital technologies and further simplifying public services.

It was also previously proposed to prohibit the use and re-registration of cars with a production history of 50 years or more from January 1, 2026. However, the decision on such a ban has not yet been implemented.
