Speed reduced to 80 km/h on the Tashkent-Charvak highway

On some roads of the Tashkent region, the speed of vehicles will be reduced to 80 km/h. On February 2, the Tashkent Regional Council of People's Deputies announced a decision on this matter.
According to the decision, this restriction will be implemented on certain sections of the D 012 "Bektemir-Chirchik-Gazalkent-Chorbog fortress" highway between 19-74 km. Because in 2025, 63 traffic accidents occurred during this period, 15 people died, and 50 people were injured.
Officials considered it expedient to reduce the speed from 100 km/h to 80 km/h in 6 uninhabited areas of this road due to frequent accidents. This measure is aimed at increasing passenger safety and preventing road accidents.
The specific addresses covered include:
- 19-20 km,
- 44-45 km,
- 49-50 km,
- 61-62 km,
- 64-65 km,
- Distance 71-74 km.
These areas are road sections passing through the Yukorichirchik and Bostanlyk districts. Now road signs 3.24 - "Maximum Speed Limit" (80 km/h) will be installed at these points.
