German automaker BMW has unveiled an extended version of the iX3 crossover specially developed for the Chinese market. The new model was presented at the Chendu Auto Show and is being offered to customers in three trim levels.

According to CarNewsChina, the vehicle is priced from 269 900 yuan to 339 900 yuan, equivalent to approximately 476 million to 600 million soums.

The main difference is a more spacious cabin

The BMW iX3 developed for the Chinese market differs from the standard European version primarily through its extended wheelbase. It exceeds 3 meters, providing greater comfort, especially for rear-seat passengers.

However, no major changes have been made to the exterior. The crossover is equipped with a slim radiator grille, semi-hidden door handles, a large rear diffuser and distinctive taillights.

The Chinese version of the BMW iX3 stands out not only for its size, but also for its software adapted to the local market.

Almost no buttons remain in the cabin

The interior of the new iX3 has also been designed around modern technologies. The number of physical buttons has been minimized, with key control functions transferred to digital systems.

One of the vehicle’s most interesting features is the long screen positioned across the front of the cabin. The huge multimedia display, angled slightly toward the driver, is also one of the interior’s main elements.

What power does the BMW iX3 offer?

The crossover is offered to buyers in several technical variants:

  • Base version — a single electric motor producing 265 horsepower;

  • Dual-motor version — a combined output of 374 horsepower;

  • Top version — 469 horsepower.

The base modification accelerates to 100 km/h in 6,8 seconds and can travel 630 kilometers on a single charge.

The dual-motor version accelerates to 100 km/h in 5,6 seconds. Its range on a single charge is approximately 700 kilometers.

The most expensive version can travel 900 km

The most powerful version of the BMW iX3, producing 469 horsepower, draws attention by being able to travel up to 900 kilometers on a single charge.

Thus, BMW has prepared a new iX3 version for China’s rapidly growing electric vehicle market that can compete not only through its exterior design, but also through cabin comfort, digital technologies and an impressive range.
