A bright representative of Uzbek theater and cinema, People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Muqaddas Kholiqova, who has gained a deep place in the hearts of audiences, celebrated her 66th birthday on April 14. She is recognized not only for her hundreds of stage roles, but also as a person worthy of attention due to her complex and touching life destiny.
Childhood mischief and dreams
Muqaddas Kholiqova was born on April 14, 1960, in the city of Tashkent and grew up as the youngest child in the family. Recalling her childhood, the actress describes herself as a very mischievous and active girl. Sometimes, because of her mischief, her mother had to pay fines for broken school window glass.
Despite this, she approached education seriously, mastered subjects well, and after classes attended a theater club, increasing her love for art. One day, during preparation for a performance, they found her at school, and the director himself released her from lessons and sent her to the stage — this became one of the first turning points in her fate.
However, the mockery of her peers did not pass without affecting her spirit. The words “you will not become an actress” did not become an obstacle, but on the contrary, gave her inner strength.
Mother’s courage and a difficult decision
One of the hardest trials in the actress’s life was the early death of her father. She lost him at the age of nine. Her mother, becoming a widow at a young age, was forced to raise two children alone.
When the issue of remarriage arose, her mother put the fate of her children first and gave up her personal happiness. Behind this decision stood a mother’s love and courage. Later, the actress recalled this as one of the most touching memories of her life.
Moments when dreams are tested
After finishing school, with the help of her mentors, Muqaddas Kholiqova applied to the art institute and successfully passed the exams. Thus, she not only fulfilled her dream but also proved herself to those who doubted her.
Her entry into the theater is also connected with an interesting turn of fate. On the recommendation of her relatives, she went to the famous director Bahodir Yuldoshev, passed a short audition, and was evaluated as a promising actress. This became a new stage in her artistic path.
