A briefing was held at the State Customs Committee on the measures taken by state customs authorities in January-August 2025. The Head of the Public Relations and Media Department, H. Tangriyev, shared important indicators for this period.
During the reporting period, more than 1.1 million trucks and more than half a million freight cars passed through border and customs posts. At the same time, the passenger flow was more than 41 million people. In addition, more than 742 thousand cargo customs declarations have been processed.
Thus, 47.2 trillion soums of customs payments were transferred to the country's budget, and the plan was fulfilled by 101.2 percent. Also, customs benefits worth 36.2 trillion soums were applied to entrepreneurs, and more than 350 entities were granted the right to defer payments worth 3.7 trillion soums.
As part of the fight against the shadow economy, more than 27 thousand violations were identified, and illegal goods worth 789 billion soums, including currency valuables, jewelry, and tobacco products, were confiscated. Customs officers also managed to seize more than 1.3 tons of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as illegal weapons and ammunition.
