The average income indicator has also been redefined - what has been updated for the population?

On November 17, 2025, an international conference and press conference were held in Tashkent on the topic "A new stage in national statistics: towards transparency and international standards." At the conference, the Chairman of the National Statistics Committee, Behzod Khamrayev, presented the results of the new recalculation.

According to it, by the end of 2024, the nominal volume of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Uzbekistan increased from 1,454.6 trillion soums to 1,535.4 trillion soums ("by 80.9 trillion soums," or 5.6%). This volume amounted to 121.4 billion dollars instead of 115.0 billion dollars in US dollars.

At the same time, the GDP per capita indicator was also recalculated, which amounted to 41.3 million soums for 2024.

According to statistics, as a result of the full coverage of the execution of the state budget, 36.4 trillion soums of new added value were identified. Added value in industry amounted to 12.7 trillion soums, in agriculture - 5.6 trillion soums, in construction - 10.3 trillion soums, and in the service sector - 16.3 trillion soums.

These figures indicate the growth of the country's economy, the revival of industry, agriculture, and the service sector. In addition, the statistical system in accordance with international standards deserves attention.
