During January-February 2026, a decrease in the volume of footwear imported from abroad was recorded. According to the National Statistics Committee, during this period, more than 115 thousand pairs of footwear were imported from 28 countries.
The total value of imported products amounted to 1.7 million US dollars. At the same time, it is noted that this figure has significantly decreased compared to the same period last year. In particular, the volume of imports decreased by almost 19.5 thousand pairs, or 14.5%
According to the analysis, China remains the leader in footwear imports. 94.6 thousand pairs of products were imported from this country, which accounted for the main share in the total volume.
Vietnam and Turkey were also among the main suppliers. It was reported that 5.2 thousand pairs of footwear were imported from Vietnam, and 3.4 thousand pairs from Turkey.
In addition, 2.5 thousand pairs of shoes were imported from India and 2 thousand pairs from Indonesia. The rest came from other countries.
