Pep Guardiola highlights Khusanov’s speed and versatility

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has praised Uzbek defender Abdukodir Khusanov, describing him as "a player with qualities we were missing." In an interview with the club's official website, Guardiola explained why Khusanov was signed during the winter transfer window and highlighted his unique attributes.

According to Guardiola, the decision to acquire Khusanov this winter was influenced by injuries in the defensive line early in the season. The coach also mentioned that the club had been monitoring the Uzbek player since the summer.

"Abdukodir brings qualities we need. He can play as a central defender, on the right flank, or in a back-three formation. His speed is vital for our team and helps in counter-attack situations. But most importantly, we need to improve our ball control."
