Disagreement with Lewandowski - coach resigns

The Polish national team has undergone an unexpected change of direction - it has been officially announced that head coach Michal Probież has resigned. This was announced by the country's football union (PZPN).

The reason for his departure is internal conflicts, including a disagreement with the famous striker Robert Lewandowski. Lewandowski, who was previously stripped of the captaincy, had announced that he would not play under Probież. This incident caused a huge stir in the Polish press.

Michal Probież commented on the situation as follows:

"In these difficult circumstances, I consider it the right decision to resign, taking into account the interests of the national team. Working as the head coach of the Polish national team has been one of the highest honors in my life."

Under his leadership, the Polish national team has played 21 matches, with 10 wins, 4 draws and 7 losses. At first glance, the results may not seem bad, but the team's lack of consistency in the last round, especially the 1-2 defeat to Finland in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, has exacerbated the problem.
