Jasur Jaloliddinov joined “Sogdiana”: entering the new season with experience and hope

The summer transfer window is heating up with new additions — Sogdiana club has started to strengthen its squad with several major and experienced footballers, the club's press service reported. Just recently, the team announced its first new transfer — a contract was signed with talented midfielder Jasur Jaloliddinov.

The agreement with Jaloliddinov is designed for a period of one and a half years. This decision demonstrates the serious intention of the club’s coaches and management to form a strong and competitive squad for the upcoming season.

Throughout his career, Jasur Jaloliddinov has played in various countries and clubs of different levels. He attracted the attention of Uzbekistan’s football community as a graduate of Bunyodkor, and then managed to prove himself at a high level in the Russian championship, playing for Lokomotiv Moscow and FC Tambov. He also played important matches for clubs such as Andijan, Lokomotiv Tashkent, Olympic, Neftchi, Kazakhstan’s Kairat, and Azerbaijan’s Sumgayit.

A midfielder who has accumulated experience in various championships is expected to be a very important addition for Sogdiana. Jaloliddinov was also active in national teams: he played more than 40 matches and scored 11 goals for Uzbekistan’s U-19, U-21, and U-23 youth teams. In the national team, he made his debut on February 23, 2020, in a friendly match against Belarus.

A particularly significant stage in his career was reaching the final of the 2024 Asian Cup with the U-23 team and securing a ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympics.
