The summer transfer window kicked off with unexpected news for football fans. One of Bunyodkor’s main figures, experienced midfielder Odil Hamrobekov, decided to continue his career abroad.
This time, the fan favorite chose the Iranian league. He recently signed an official contract with Tehran’s Tractor club.
According to reports, the contract runs until June 30, 2027. This means that Odil will play for the Tabriz-based club for at least two years. Interestingly, this was not a free transfer — since he still had a valid contract with Bunyodkor, Tractor officially bought him out.
It is reported that the Iranian side paid approximately 500,000 euros for the transfer — equivalent to about 7.3 billion Uzbek soums at today’s rate. Such a figure is considered significant both in the domestic league and in the regional football market.
This season, Hamrobekov played 15 matches for Bunyodkor in the Super League. He held his position confidently on the field and delivered one assist. His experience, timely ball distribution, and active pressing were especially valuable for the team led by Ilyos Zeytullaev.
