Former National Team head coach Mirjalol Qosimov expressed his opinion on the hotly debated issue of Fabio Cannavaro. According to him, in the preparation for major competitions, along with tactics and schemes, the strengthening of trust, unity, and responsibility in the team is of decisive importance. Discipline, a clear distribution of tasks, an approach that corresponds to the players' natural strengths, and goals that can be measured through training and games are the foundation of stable results.
According to Kasimov, the training camps and control matches in the coming months will serve as a mirror to the team's new image. At these stages, such details as standard positions, ball rotation under pressure, resistance to high pressure from the opposing team, fast rotation, and last-minute mode are tested. It is these "small" points that create the "large" difference on the big stage.
In conclusion, Mirjalol Kasimov called on everyone to be patient, support the coaching staff, and maintain a unified atmosphere around the team. In his opinion, if the group stage is successfully completed and there is growth in the content of the game, it becomes clear that the chosen path is correct.
