The second round of AFCON is turning into a true football celebration. Competition in the groups is fierce, and every point is worth its weight in gold. Some teams have already secured their playoff spot early, while others still have the toughest battles ahead.
In Group C, Nigeria played a truly hard-fought match against Tunisia. The game ended 3–2 in Nigeria’s favor, and the win opened the door to the knockout stage. From the opening minutes Nigeria attacked with intent and took control. Clinical finishes from Osimhen, Ndidi and Lookman strengthened their advantage. Tunisia fought until the very end, but there wasn’t enough time for a comeback.

In the group’s other match, Uganda and Tanzania shared the points. The 1–1 draw saw both sides take a point each. This result made the situation in Group C even more intriguing.

In Group D, the clash between Senegal and DR Congo was as intense as fans expected. The teams settled for a 1–1 draw. Mané’s goal delighted Senegal supporters, while Bakambu’s reply kept DR Congo in the game. After this result, both sides continue their fight for top positions in the group.

In another match in the group, Benin edged Botswana by the narrowest margin. Roche’s lone goal decided the contest and earned Benin a crucial three points.
