In the second round of the Super League, Sogdiana lost 0:2 to Nasaf at home. Following the match, the Jizzakh team's head coach, Ivan Boshkovich, attended a press conference and commented on the game's details, the shortcomings, and the team's future plans.
Boshkovich, above all, did not hide his dissatisfaction with the result. According to him, the team lost 0:2, and this, of course, will not please anyone. Nevertheless, the coach emphasized that Sogdiana strived to offer a decent defense against a good opponent on the field.
According to him, the Jizzakh team has created enough opportunities to score goals. However, the decisive aspect - the realization, that is, the conversion of created situations into goals - is lacking. The coach emphasized that one of the main goals before the match was to avoid defeat, and the players also fought until the end, but the result was still decided in favor of the opponent.
In the second half, it was also said that "Sogdiana" tried to show character and turn the game around. The team created chances again, became more active in attack. The biggest opportunity was a penalty. Boshkovich believes that if that 11-meter shot had turned into a goal, the score would have been reduced, and the intrigue could have lasted until the end. However, no goals were scored from the penalty spot, and the "agar"s in football didn't help the team this time.
"This is football," says the coach. He emphasized that despite the defeat, one should not despair, draw conclusions, and continue preparing for the next debates.
In short, the main lesson of this game is clear for Ivan Boshkovich: creating opportunities for "Sogdiana" doesn't mean they're lacking, but there are still many aspects to be worked on to calmly convert them into goals. Now the team will continue to work forward.
