After the Super League Round 6 match “Neftchi” – “Pakhtakor” (0:1), the head coach of the Tashkent club, Kamoliddin Tadjiev, took part in the press conference and shared his opinion about the match.
According to the coach, the team prepared seriously for the game and started the match in a good spirit. He noted that “Neftchi” as a strong opponent fought until the end. However, in such matches one goal can decide everything, and exactly this situation determined the outcome of the match.
Tadjiev said that after the goal scored in the first half, in the second half the team switched to a more defensive style of play in order to keep the score. He praised all the players and expressed satisfaction with their level of performance.
In response to the question about “Neftchi”’s inefficiency in attack, the coach gave a clear answer, saying that something was missing from the opponent — they should analyze it themselves. At the same time, he noted that the organized and collective defensive play of “Pakhtakor” was an important factor in the victory.
Answering the question about players frequently lying on the ground during the match, Tadjiev said that this was not a special tactic. According to him, such situations occurred due to collisions, but they were not frequent. He also stated that although fatigue was noticeable in previous matches, in this game it was hardly felt.
Answering the question about the game plan, the coach said that an exclusively defensive tactic had not been chosen in advance. According to him, it was a match where whoever scored first would gain the advantage, and “Pakhtakor” effectively used this chance.
In Tadjiev’s opinion, the team acted according to the situation and achieved an important victory thanks to smart play.
