Uzbekistan's young boxers dominate at the Asian Championship

The Asian Youth Boxing Championship is currently underway at the Olympic Village, featuring intense and competitive bouts. In yesterday's program, 10 members of the Uzbekistan junior national team stepped into the ring, with almost all of them delivering high-level performances for the fans.
The young Uzbek boxers not only secured victories but also defeated many of their opponents by wide margins, advancing to the semifinals with great confidence.
Shamshod Komilov was the first to enter the ring in the -33 kg weight category, facing Kyrgyzstan's Ariyet Urbayev. Our representative showed his dominance in the first two rounds, leading 5:0. In the third round, he scored a knockdown, cementing his performance and securing a spot in the semifinals.
Fayozbek Noraliyev (-37 kg) also put on a convincing display against Tajikistan's Muhammad Qodirov, standing out with his speed and precision throughout all three rounds. The judges unanimously awarded the victory to the Uzbek athlete — 5:0.
Jasurbek Xayrullayev (-40 kg) faced Jordan's Ali Salem. In an exciting and intense bout, the Uzbek boxer won 3:2 thanks to his activity and accurate punches.
In the -43 kg category, Adiz Ilhombekov tested his strength against Mongolia's Uudam Enkxbat. In a fierce and entertaining fight, Ilhombekov left his opponent no chance, winning 5:0.
Mansur Abduhamidov (-46 kg) also showed complete dominance against Iran's Akam Fatxi. The Uzbek athlete maintained the initiative throughout the fight and achieved a confident 5:0 victory.
Sardor Omonboyev (-49 kg) stepped into the ring against South Korea's Seng Yu Kang. Despite the opponent's attempts to resist, Omonboyev proved his all-around superiority, winning 5:0 to reach the semifinals.
In the -52 kg category, Javohir Ne’matjonov fought Kazakhstan's Ali Abdeli. In a bout described by fans as a unique "Clasico," Ne’matjonov's smart and agile movements were the deciding factor. The judges once again recorded a 5:0 score.
Boburmirzo Murodov (-55 kg) faced Chinese Taipei's Kun Chen Yun. The Uzbek boxer defeated his opponent by technical knockout in the second round, recording one of the most impressive victories of the day.
In the final quarterfinal bout, Abdulloh Karimjonov (-58 kg) competed against Mongolia's Nomtoibayar Ganbayar. Our representative fought actively and confidently, winning 4:1 to advance to the semifinals.
According to the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation, our young boxers are participating in the tournament with high preparation and great confidence. Experts believe the national team's current results signal that new champions will emerge for Uzbek boxing in the future.
