Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney could sign Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo

The unprecedented rise of Wrexham, managed by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, is capturing global attention. Speculation has now emerged that the club could sign some of the biggest icons in football history. Former Premier League manager Tony Pulis believes the North Wales club has a unique charm to attract stars like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, or Neymar. This is reported by Goal.com .
Following the high-profile acquisition in February 2021, Wrexham transformed from a modest lower-league team into a global phenomenon. Results on the pitch have been as rapid as their commercial growth — the team led by Phil Parkinson managed three consecutive promotions. Last season, the team finished seventh in the Championship, just two points shy of the play-offs.
As the club aims for the Premier League, discussions about which world-class stars might join are intensifying. While signing multiple-time Ballon d'Or winners might seem like a fantasy for other clubs, Pulis insists Wrexham should not limit its ambitions. The Welsh expert believes the charisma of the owners and the club's prestige make any transfer possible.
In an interview with BOYLE Sports, Tony Pulis said: "Wrexham's next big signing? Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, or Neymar — why not? Wales, especially North Wales, is a beautiful place. Although these stars are currently playing in the USA, Saudi Arabia, and Brazil, Welsh hospitality could entice them."
Pulis added in a humorous tone that beyond financial capabilities, the region's nature and the warmth of the people would be key factors: "Tell them the sun never sets here and the food is great. Even if the weather is rainy, you won't find people more welcoming than the Welsh. That is the strongest argument for bringing superstars to Wrexham."
