According to the player, he had been preparing for this transfer for several years. "I wanted to speak Spanish because I have believed since childhood that I would play for Barcelona. I practiced every day with my physiotherapist at Newcastle, and I told him that one day I would definitely play for this club," Gordon emphasized. He also addressed the fans in Catalan, expressing his happiness.
Now, the forward must focus on the international tournament with the England national team. After the competition in North America, he is expected to adapt to Barcelona's complex tactical system and replicate his 17-goal tally from last season in La Liga.
