The popularity of the foldable "Huawei Pura X Max" indicates a growing consumer interest in new form factors, and it has been reported that sales for this device have increased by 215% compared to the company's first-generation models.

Preliminary data on new smartphone sales in China for the period of April 20–26 has been released. According to the insider Digital Chat Station, the Huawei Pura X Max model has become the leader in terms of the number of activations on its first day. This was reported by Ixbt.com xabar beradi.

This figure, including the collector's edition, amounted to more than 97,000 devices.

The second place was taken by the Redmi K90 Max with over 82,000 activations. The combined figure for the satellite version of the Oppo Find X9 Ultra flagship was around 45,000.

The Oppo Find X9s Pro model was activated nearly 37,000 times.

The fact that the foldable Huawei Pura X Max smartphone has become the leader indicates that user interest is shifting toward new form factors. The wide format modified by the company has been well-received by many.

Previously, it was reported that sales of this foldable smartphone had increased by 215 percent compared to the company's first-generation device. At the Beijing-2026 auto show, Huawei management announced that this model had become a true bestseller among foldable smartphones and was completely sold out upon its release.
