Huawei is preparing new accessories for its upcoming Mate 90 series that will bring zoom photography to a professional camera level. According to insiders, the flagship devices may support external teleconverters — additional optical modules that attach to the smartphone camera. This is reported by Ixbt.com news.
Fixed Focus Digital notes that Huawei is working on updated solutions to expand optical zoom capabilities. Unlike standard digital zoom, a teleconverter physically changes the focal length and enhances telephoto capabilities without significant quality loss.
Using such a concept allows for capturing distant objects — concerts, sports events, and landscapes — while maintaining image detail. Similar solutions were previously released for Vivo smartphones.
