According to the National Statistics Committee, neighboring Kyrgyzstan has become one of Uzbekistan's major trade partners in 2025, particularly in the carpet industry.
In the first half of the year (January–June), Uzbekistan exported 3.6 million square meters of carpets worth $10.8 million USD to various countries.
The largest volume of carpets — 1,086,000 m² — was exported to the Kyrgyz Republic, making it the top importer of Uzbek carpets during this period.

Afghanistan – 725 thousand m²
