Strict policy is being pursued to ensure the independence of the court

Business entities will be allowed to apply to economic and administrative courts outside their registered location, Kursiv reported.

This was announced by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during an open dialogue with entrepreneurs. Now entrepreneurs will be able to apply to courts on an extraterritorial basis.

Also, the “astrent” system will be introduced in the country. This is the amount of money assigned in favor of the creditor to encourage the debtor based on the court decision.

According to the head of state, a strict policy is being pursued to ensure the independence of the courts.

“Today's entrepreneur is not the entrepreneur of yesterday. Their legal literacy is increasing. This is also reflected in the increase in the number of applications to the courts,” said President Mirziyoyev.
