Uzbekistan may ban filming people without consent

Uzbekistan may introduce a ban on photographing or filming individuals without their consent, Kursiv.media reported.
On September 8, party factions in the Legislative Chamber discussed a new draft law.
According to the proposal, a person’s image can only be used with their explicit permission.
If the person is legally incapable, consent must be given by legal representatives.
For children under 16, parents or guardians decide,
while teens 16 and older can decide for themselves.
The bill also requires warning signs in buildings with video surveillance.
It specifies the conditions under which filming without consent may still be allowed.
After review by factions, the draft will go through three readings, then sent to the Senate and the President.
