Shopping centers that violated fire safety rules have been closed in Uzbekistan

During control measures conducted by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and relevant agencies throughout the republic, trade and entertainment facilities that grossly violated fire safety requirements were identified. Their activities have been temporarily suspended until the shortcomings are eliminated.

In particular, in the Bukhara region, a number of shopping malls, a children's playground pavilion, as well as some buildings and premises were closed. In the city of Jizzakh, the operation of a catering establishment located on the territory of the shopping center has been restricted.

In the city of Gulistan, Syrdarya region, the activity of the warehouse located in the basement of the shopping center was suspended, and the "Indenim" shopping and entertainment center in the city of Termez was also temporarily closed.

It is reported that as part of the inspections, the condition of automatic fire extinguishing systems, evacuation corridors, as well as the availability and serviceability of fire-fighting equipment are being studied.

We remind you that such inspections were intensified after one citizen died as a result of the fire that occurred on January 31 at the Aviator shopping complex.
