Uzbek scientists invent eco-friendly biodegradable plastic wrap

Uzbek scientists have successfully developed a self-decomposing plastic wrap that is completely safe for the environment. This was reported by the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. The new invention can serve as an effective and eco-friendly alternative to plastic bags.

It is reported that this biodegradable plastic wrap decomposes easily in water and soil and does not harm nature. In terms of appearance and strength, it resembles ordinary synthetic polyethylene but is completely safe for ecology and the environment.

The report emphasizes that this plastic wrap can be widely used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. “Although this wrap resembles traditional polyethylene sheets in appearance and mechanical properties, it is absolutely safe for nature. It decomposes easily in water and soil without harming the environment. Now, this biodegradable wrap can be applied in the food and pharmaceutical industries and can be an important step in reducing the problem of plastic waste,” the report states.

This invention not only contributes to the development of eco-friendly technologies, but also supports the green economy, protects the environment, and opens new opportunities for reducing plastic waste. Using the new biodegradable wrap, scientists have created a safe, high-quality, and environmentally compatible product for both the public and industry.
