During January 2026, 11,502 protocols were drawn up against passengers who traveled on public transport without paying the fare. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
It is noted that during the month, special control and raids were organized in an enhanced manner to identify cases of ticketless bus travel. As a result, during January 2026, administrative protocols were drawn up against 11,502 passengers who did not pay for travel on buses.
According to Article 144, Part 5 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, they were fined for driving without a ticket.
The Ministry's information emphasizes that the stable and uninterrupted operation of the public transport system directly depends on funds received from fares. Payment of fares by each passenger in the prescribed manner and on time plays an important role in ensuring the regularity of bus traffic, the quality of service, and comfortable conditions for passengers.
