President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on a working visit to the Surkhandarya region, traditionally began his trip by visiting the mausoleum of the great scholar Hakim Termizi. Such visits are not only part of the official program, but also serve as a vivid expression of the high attention paid to spiritual values in our country. During the visit, the Quran was recited, and prayers were made for peace, tranquility, abundance, and prosperity for our people and country.
In a conversation with scholars after visiting the holy site, special emphasis was placed on the issue of further in-depth study of the rich spiritual and educational heritage of the great thinker Hakim Termizi, who made an invaluable contribution to the development of Islamic civilization. At the same time, the need to widely promote his scientific and spiritual views not only among our compatriots, but also among the international community was emphasized. This was assessed as an important step towards not only preserving the heritage of ancestors, but also instilling it in the consciousness of future generations.
During the conversation, detailed reflections were also made on such high qualities of our sacred religion as kindness, humanism, mercy, tolerance, and mercy. It was emphasized that the preservation of national values, their development in harmony with the spirit of the times, and, on this basis, the upbringing of the younger generation in the spirit of a healthy worldview and noble ideas are among the most pressing tasks of today. The need to further strengthen in the hearts of young people a sense of love for the Motherland, devotion to the people, and respect for history was especially emphasized.
It was reported that in recent years, after extensive improvement works, this sacred complex has acquired an even more graceful, beautiful, and modern appearance. All convenient conditions have been created for visitors, the surrounding areas have been landscaped, and significant construction and renovation work has been carried out in the mausoleum itself. In particular, modern lighting equipment, heating and cooling systems have been installed. In order to create a favorable microclimate in the complex, more than four thousand perennial ornamental trees of 40 species and more than 20 thousand seasonal flowers have been planted. Official reports also note that this complex has been improved in recent years and decent conditions have been created for pilgrims.
During the visit, relevant instructions were given to maintain the complex of the scholar, who worked productively in various areas of Islamic sciences such as tafsir, hadith, fiqh, kalam, Islamic philosophy, history of Sufism and Sufi views, and to further expand conveniences for pilgrims. This means that the legacy of Hakim Termizi will remain in the center of high attention not only as a historical monument, but also as a center of spiritual education, science, enlightenment, and national self-awareness.
