Public transport will operate one hour earlier on Ramadan holiday

On Friday, March 20, 2026, due to the celebration of Ramadan, public transport in Tashkent will start operating one hour earlier — from 04:00. This was announced by “Toshshahartanshizmat.”
The decision was made to provide convenience for citizens planning to attend the holiday prayer. On this day, buses and metro trains will serve passengers from early morning.
According to the “Tashkent Metro,” metro trains will also begin running from 04:00. Additionally, on March 20–21, the metro will operate according to the Saturday schedule, and on March 22–23, according to the Sunday schedule. Passengers are advised to plan their trips in advance, taking these changes into account.
It should be noted that the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, signed the decree “On the Celebration of the Blessed Ramadan” on March 18. According to this document, March 20, 2026, will be widely celebrated as Ramadan in the country.
During the holidays, cultural, educational, and charitable events aimed at strengthening an atmosphere of kindness, solidarity, and generosity among the population will be organized. The Tourism Committee, in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, will facilitate visits to respected shrines and historical sites for citizens, ensuring comfortable conditions.
