From the very beginning of 2026, it can be seen that Uzbekistan citizens have actively engaged in traveling. In January–February, more than 1 million citizens of the country traveled abroad for tourism purposes.
According to the National Statistics Committee, a total of 1,081,612 Uzbekistan citizens traveled abroad. This is nearly 50 thousand more compared to the same period last year. This means that interest in travel is increasing year by year — the trend is clear.
The most interesting thing is that Uzbekistan citizens continue to choose not distant but mainly neighboring and nearby countries. This saves both time and expenses — a smart choice.
In the first two months of 2026, the most visited countries were:
• Kyrgyz Republic — 426,421 people
• Tajikistan — 179,390 people
• Kazakhstan — 166,017 people
• Saudi Arabia — 115,350 people
• Russia — 62,054 people
• Turkey — 34,634 people
• UAE — 26,449 people
• Thailand — 10,946 people
• China — 8,890 people
• Egypt — 8,872 people
As can be seen, Central Asian countries still remain the top choice. At the same time, the high number of trips to Saudi Arabia indicates strong demand for Umrah and religious travel.
