Uzbekistan launched a new credit alert

Uzbekistan’s CATM Credit Bureau has introduced a new service called “Credit Notification,” according to the Central Bank. The tool is designed to help citizens quickly learn about any loan issued in their name.
Under the new system, users will receive immediate alerts by SMS and through push notifications in the CATM mobile app whenever a credit product is officially registered to them. The service also allows people to monitor their credit history more closely.
To activate the option, users need to open the “Additional Services” section in the mobile application and switch on the “Credit Notification” function. The “SMS notification” service must already be enabled in advance. The annual fee for the service is 4,614.40 soums, including VAT, and it remains active for 365 days.
Specialists say that if a person receives a notice about a loan they did not take out, they should immediately check their credit history, activate the “Credit Ban” service, and contact both the organization that issued the loan and law enforcement agencies.
