Attention parents: 1st grade admission has been fully switched to electronic format

In Uzbekistan, the admission process to the 1st grade of general secondary schools for the 2026–2027 academic year will be fully carried out in electronic form. This was announced by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.
It is noted that, according to the new procedure, the admission process will be organized in two stages. From June 20 to July 31, children will be able to submit online applications to schools within their microdistrict. From August 1 to August 31, electronic admission will be opened for areas outside the microdistrict.
According to reports, the number of districts and cities where the online admission system has been introduced has increased from 64 to 135. The number of schools connected to the system has also significantly increased, from 1,956 to 5,689.
Applications are accepted through the Unified Interactive State Services Portal — my.gov.uz and the my.maktab.uz platform.
The age requirement for admission to the 1st grade for the new academic year remains traditional: children who are 7 years old, i.e. born before December 31, 2019, are eligible.
In regions where the online system has not yet been fully implemented, admissions are carried out in the traditional manner by schools. At the same time, to ensure transparency, all information will be publicly displayed in schools.
It is also reported that Presidential gifts consisting of 12 types of school supplies will be delivered to all educational institutions by August 20 of this year.
