Official: Housewives in Uzbekistan will also receive “maternity payments” — up to 4 million soums
Starting in 2026, housewives in Uzbekistan will be eligible to receive maternity benefits of up to 4 million soums. To qualify, women must officially register as self-employed and join the social insurance system. This requires making continuous monthly contributions of 63,550 soums for at least ten months.
Starting from 2026, pregnancy and childbirth benefits will also be available to housewives. This was officially announced.
According to the new rules, to use this benefit, a person must register as a self-employed individual and connect to the social insurance system.
The requirements are clearly defined: a monthly payment of 63,550 soums and continuous payments for at least 10 months.
Through this system, housewives will be able to receive maternity benefits of up to 4 million soums in the future.
