The tragic murder of the former mayor by his grandson

The tragic murder of the former mayor by his grandson
A grandson brutally murdered his grandparents for money: the bodies lay in a barrel for a month, while he sold cars and valuables.

On January 3, 2025, Viktor Tarkhov, the former mayor of the Russian city of Samara, turned 77. He and his wife decided to celebrate the holiday by returning to Russia. They spent most of their time abroad.

Ekaterina wanted to get more money from her grandfather.
The Tarkhovs owned an apartment on Vilonovskaya Street in Samara. They went straight here from the airport. The cameras at the entrance recorded them entering the house with bags… and then they disappeared.

At first, this did not alarm anyone. Viktor Tarkhov’s acquaintances received SMS messages from him: “We just got sick, my wife is not feeling well.” But then one of his friends became suspicious and contacted the police.

The suspicions were not unfounded. On the evening of February 5 (a month later), it became known: Viktor Tarkhov and his wife had been brutally murdered. The bodies were dismembered and placed in plastic barrels to prevent the stench from escaping. The suspect in the crime is Ekaterina Belskaya, the 30-year-old granddaughter of the deceased.

Why did the murder happen?

Law enforcement agencies have not yet released any official details. Ekaterina refused to testify at the investigation. However, some information has appeared in the media.

It is reported that Belskaya visited her grandparents' house. It is possible that they had a quarrel. Was it over money? No one can say for sure, but the fact is that Katya killed them. At first, it was said that she shot them, and then it was rumored that she beat them to death.

Then the events turned into a real criminal series. Belskaya ordered plastic barrels online and stored the bodies in these barrels. After some time, she cut them into pieces, put them in black bags and dumped them in different places.

At the same time, she began to solve her financial problems. According to some sources, she sold her grandfather's Toyota RAV4 car with a fake power of attorney. After that, she also paid for the valuable icons in the house.

The police found out all this, and on this basis Ekaterina was arrested. Soon, traces of the crime were found in the house.

Who was Ekaterina Belskaya?

She was obsessed with wealth and luxury from a young age. She was interested in nothing but money. During her studies, she was addicted to alcohol, expensive clothes and jewelry.

The police also found that she was in debt. Insiders suspect that these debts were related to gambling and drugs.

Did Ekaterina act alone?

The investigation is currently ongoing. If she had an accomplice, she will have to find him. For now, Belskaya has been in custody for 2 months.

This terrible incident may reveal many more secrets.
