A grandson brutally murdered his grandparents for money: the bodies lay in a barrel for a month, while he sold cars and valuables.

On January 3, 2025, Viktor Tarkhov, the former mayor of the Russian city of Samara, turned 77. He and his wife decided to celebrate the holiday by returning to Russia. They spent most of their time abroad.

The Tarkhovs owned an apartment on Vilonovskaya Street in Samara. They went straight here from the airport. The cameras at the entrance recorded them entering the house with bags… and then they disappeared.

Why did the murder happen?

The police found out all this, and on this basis Ekaterina was arrested. Soon, traces of the crime were found in the house.
