Erdogan: Israel may realize its mistake too late
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a very strong statement regarding Israel’s military operation against Iran. According to him, such aggression is the result of Israel, backed unconditionally by the West, considering itself immune from punishment.

“Israel, relying on the unlimited support of the West, is attacking Iran, razing Gaza to the ground, and disregarding the countries of the region. But it does not understand the consequences of its actions. Maybe it will realize in the future, but we are afraid it will be too late,” said the Turkish leader in an address to the nation after a Cabinet meeting.

According to Erdogan, every event taking place in the region affects the entire world. “An event previously considered an internal problem of a single country can now affect global security. The attack on Iran is not just an Iranian issue. This is a situation affecting the security of the entire region and the world,” he said.

Israel announced that on the night of June 13 it launched a large-scale military operation against Iran. Official Tel Aviv explained this operation by saying that Iran’s nuclear program was approaching the ‘point of no return’. The strikes targeted nuclear facilities, military bases, and specialists in the nuclear field.

Iran, in turn, is responding harshly to these actions. Tehran is launching hundreds of missiles and drones at Israel, targeting military and industrial facilities. Clashes between the two sides are intensifying day by day, with civilian casualties increasing.

According to Israeli sources, more than 20 people have been killed and 600 injured as a result of Iran’s strikes. Iran, for its part, has reported more than 220 casualties and over 1,200 wounded on its side.

Currently, both countries are in a daily exchange of strikes. Israel has stated that it will not stop the operation until it completely destroys Iran’s nuclear capabilities. Iran, in turn, has clearly declared that it will continue its defense if the bombings do not stop.

The Turkish president’s address reminds us of the possible consequences of this large-scale military conflict for the world. In order to restore peace and stability in the region, all parties must be called to patience and political solutions.
