In the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces once again opened fire near humanitarian centers run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which is supported by Israel. According to local witnesses and health workers, at least 10 Palestinians were killed in the incidents that occurred on Saturday.
The shooting took place just one day after U.S. officials visited the GHF center and praised the system as a "remarkable achievement." GHF was launched in May with U.S. support and is considered an alternative aid system chosen by Israel instead of the UN.
In recent days, food shortages in Gaza have worsened. According to UN data, between May and the end of July, 859 people were killed near GHF centers. Meanwhile, the Israeli military and GHF deny involvement in these incidents.
Additionally, Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported that in the past 24 hours, 7 Palestinians, including one child, died due to malnutrition. Since the war began, 93 children and 76 adults have died of hunger.
