In one of the largest cities in northwestern Syria – Aleppo – another explosion has taken place.
According to SANA agency, an unidentified individual detonated an explosive device near a bakery in the Al-Maysar district. The incident happened in the evening, local time.
Emergency services and police officers arrived at the scene. At present, no official information has been released regarding casualties or injuries. However, local media emphasize that this attack may have been a terrorist act.
Residents and eyewitnesses reported that the explosion caused various damages to nearby houses and shops. Local authorities announced that an investigation has begun and that individuals connected to the incident are being sought.
In recent years, Aleppo has repeatedly witnessed terrorist attacks. Experts note that such incidents show that security problems in Syria remain unresolved and continue to pose a serious threat to the civilian population.
