The Independence Day is of special importance for the Tajik people. On the eve of this significant event, the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, organized important ceremonies. On August 25, during the official ceremony held at the "Millat" palace in Dushanbe, the president awarded around 200 people with high state honors for their contribution to the development of the country.
These prestigious awards were given for achievements in science, medicine, education, culture, and arts, as well as for selfless work in entrepreneurship. Notably, the president did not forget his daughter, Ozoda Rahmon, who plays an active role in the country’s life.
Ozoda Rahmon — an important figure in the political elite and state governance
According to reports, Ozoda Rahmon, who currently serves as the head of the Executive Office of the President, was also among the awardees. Her achievements in the development of the state and society, as well as her effective work in political and administrative spheres, were duly appreciated. Today, Ozoda Rahmon is recognized as one of the most influential women in the political scene of Tajikistan.
Political career started at the U.S. Embassy
Ozoda Rahmon began her political career in 2005, initially working at the Tajik Embassy in the United States. At the age of 27, she took her first steps in public service and now holds an important position in the country’s governance. Her experience and activities contribute to the political stability and implementation of reforms in the country.
