Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has openly stated that he will not travel to Moscow to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him, such proposals are nothing more than a stretch of time, and the Kremlin is playing a political "game" with the United States for the main purpose.
In an interview with ABC News, Zelenskyy commented on this: "I cannot go to Moscow at a time when rockets are falling on our country every day, cities and villages are being attacked. I cannot go to the capital, which has become a center of terrorism."
According to the Ukrainian leader, Putin is well aware of this situation. At the same time, Zelenskyy addressed him directly and invited him to Kyiv for negotiations.
As a reminder, Putin did not rule out the possibility of meeting with Zelenskyy at a press conference following his visit to China. He said that "if the President of Ukraine agrees, we will meet him in Moscow for negotiations."
As the issue of negotiations becomes increasingly relevant, Zelenskyy's firm position is causing significant discussion in the Ukrainian public and on the international stage.
